Elyn’s Glossary of Green | Part Two

We’re back with another installment of Elyn’s Glossary of Green. We heard your desire to know more about confusing terms being used and what it means for you, a busy, environmentally engaged woman on the go.

As a sustainable products company, we had similar questions and worked together as a team to discern which ones are important and how they impact our lives. We’re proud to share Elyn Glossary of Green, Part Two where we’ve collected terms related to a green lifestyle and distilled them for the most pertinent points.

Cruelty-free

A product, especially in the cosmetics arena, that are made without harming or testing on animals.

 Fair Trade

Is a concept that creating economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods in developing countries leads to a consumer market that distributes the resources fairly and equitably among all.

Zero Waste

A lifestyle that aims to send as little to the landfill as possible and instead focuses on reducing, reusing, and recycling items around the home.

Plastic-free

As we learn together we’ll be adding to the Glossary of Green so we can all made educated decisions about how we can do our part to create a sustainable lifestyle.
